Nobuhiro Maeda (前田 信弘), born on June 3, 1973, is a former Japanese football player. He played as a goalkeeper for several teams in Japan and Singapore during his career.

Nobuhiro Maeda's Football Journey

Nobuhiro Maeda was born in Marugame, Kagawa, Japan. He loved football from a young age. After finishing high school, he went to Doshisha University. There, he continued to play football and improve his skills as a goalkeeper.

Starting His Professional Career

In 1996, after university, Maeda joined a professional football club called Verdy Kawasaki. This team played in the J1 League, which is the top football league in Japan. As a new player, he was a backup goalkeeper. He learned a lot from more experienced players like Shinkichi Kikuchi and Kenji Honnami.

Playing for Vissel Kobe

In 1998, Maeda moved to another J1 League team, Vissel Kobe. Here, he got more chances to play. He became the main goalkeeper for a while in 1998. He showed his skills by protecting the goal in many matches. However, in 1999, he became a backup again.

Moving to New Teams

After his time at Vissel Kobe, Maeda moved to Shimizu S-Pulse in 2000. He continued to work hard, but he didn't get to play in many games there.

In 2001, he joined Albirex Niigata, a team in the J2 League. The J2 League is the second-highest professional football league in Japan. Even though he was a backup goalkeeper, he kept training and supporting his team.

Playing in Singapore

In 2004, Nobuhiro Maeda decided to try playing football in a different country. He moved to Singapore and joined Albirex Niigata Singapore. This team plays in the S.League, which is Singapore's top football league.

In Singapore, Maeda played in many matches. He was an important part of the team that year. At the end of the 2004 season, he decided to retire from professional football.
