Nobutoshi Kaneda (金田 喜稔, Kaneda Nobutoshi) was a talented Japanese football player. He was born on February 16, 1958. Kaneda played as a forward or midfielder. He was a key player for the Japanese national team.

Playing for Clubs

Nobutoshi Kaneda was born in Fuchu, Hiroshima. After finishing his studies at Chuo University, he joined a football club called Nissan Motors in 1980. This was the start of his professional career.

Winning Championships

Kaneda's team, Nissan Motors, quickly became very successful. They won the Emperor's Cup twice, first in 1983 and again in 1985. These were big wins for the club.

From 1988 to 1990, the team had an amazing run. They won all three major football titles in Japan for two years in a row. These titles included the Japan Soccer League, the JSL Cup, and the Emperor's Cup. This showed how strong the team was.

Career Highlights

Kaneda played for Nissan Motors until he retired in 1991. During his time in the league, he played in 157 games. He also scored 21 goals for his team. In 1983, he was recognized as one of the best players. He was chosen for the "Best Eleven" team in the Japan Soccer League.

Playing for Japan

Nobutoshi Kaneda also played for his country, the Japan national team. His first game for Japan was on June 15, 1977. He was still a student at Chuo University at the time.

Youngest Goal Scorer

In his very first game for Japan, against South Korea, Kaneda scored a goal! He was only 19 years old. This made him the youngest player ever to score a goal for the Japan national team at that time. It was a special moment in his career.

International Tournaments

Kaneda represented Japan in important international competitions. He played in the 1978 Asian Games and the 1982 Asian Games. These tournaments allowed him to compete against other countries. He played a total of 58 games for Japan. He scored 6 goals for his country before he stopped playing for the national team in 1984.
