Make Way for Noddy (2002)

Noddy's Toyland Adventures is a fun British children's TV show. It was shown on the BBC from 1992 to 2000. The show was made by Cosgrove Hall Films. They used a special animation style called stop-motion. This means they took many pictures of models, moving them slightly each time. When played fast, it looks like the characters are moving!

The show features the voices of talented actors like Susan Sheridan and Jimmy Hibbert. They also worked on other popular shows. The theme song for Noddy's Toyland Adventures was sung by Paul K. Joyce.

The story follows Noddy, a little wooden doll. He lives in a magical place called Toyland. Noddy drives a red and yellow taxi. He often tries to earn money or gets into funny trouble. His best friends are Big Ears, Mr. Plod, and Tessie Bear. They always help Noddy, especially when the tricky goblins, Gobbo and Sly, cause problems. Most episodes end with Noddy laughing, which makes the bell on his hat ring!

Some episodes of this series were also shown in Canada and the United States. They were part of a show simply called "Noddy". For these versions, the voices were changed to North American ones. The music was also different. Later, in 1999, these re-dubbed Noddy animations were shown in the UK as "Noddy in Toyland".

In 2020, you could watch all of Noddy's Toyland Adventures on streaming services. These included Peacock and Apple TV.

Making the Show: Production Details

Cosgrove Hall Films wanted to create the Noddy series using a type of animation called Claymation. This style uses models made from latex rubber. They made the show for the BBC.
