Noel Fitzpatrick is a famous Irish veterinary surgeon. He is known for helping animals with very difficult injuries. He became well-known because of the TV show The Supervet.
Noel Fitzpatrick grew up in Ballyfin, County Laois, Ireland. In 1993, he moved to Guildford, Surrey, in the UK. There, he runs Fitzpatrick Referrals, a special animal hospital. His hospitals in Eashing and Guildford help pets with bone, nerve, and cancer problems.

Becoming a Top Vet
Noel Fitzpatrick studied at University College Dublin. He earned his degree in veterinary medicine in 1990.
In 2014, he received an award from his old university. The University of Surrey also gave him an honorary doctorate. This was for his idea of "One Medicine." This idea means that treatments for animals and humans can help each other. He is also a professor at the University of Florida and the University of Surrey.
In 2017, he won the Blaine Award. This award is for vets who make big improvements in animal medicine. He was recognized for creating over 30 new ways to help small animals.
Amazing Animal Surgeries
Noel Fitzpatrick is famous for his groundbreaking surgeries. In 2009, he did something amazing for a cat named Oscar. Oscar had lost both of his back feet in an accident. Noel was the first vet in the world to successfully give Oscar special new feet. These were called amputation prostheses (PerFiTS).
In 2014, this incredible surgery was recognized by Guinness World Records. It showed how innovative and skilled Noel Fitzpatrick is.

The Bionic Vet (2010)
In 2010, the BBC made a TV show called The Bionic Vet. It followed Noel Fitzpatrick and his team. The show highlighted how they developed new ways to help pets with unique health issues.
The Supervet (2014–present)
Since 2014, Noel Fitzpatrick's practice has been the focus of the Channel 4 show The Supervet. This popular series is still running today. It shows the challenging and heartwarming cases they handle.
Noel has also appeared on other TV and radio shows. These include The One Show and different BBC Radio programs. In 2018, he shared his life story on BBC Radio 4's The Life Scientific.
Acting and Other Interests
Besides being a vet, Noel Fitzpatrick also enjoys acting. He has appeared in a few TV shows and movies. He played a vet named Andrew Lawrence in two episodes of ITV's Heartbeat. He also appeared in the BBC medical drama Casualty in 2005.
Noel also acted in some films. His first movie was the horror film The Devil's Tattoo (2003). He played the main character, David Fowler, in Live for the Moment (2004). He also starred as Inspector Beckett in the film Framed (2008).
