"Angom Nongban Kongyamba" (Meitei: ꯑꯉꯣꯝ ꯅꯣꯡꯕꯥꯟ ꯀꯣꯡꯌꯥꯝꯕ), better known as "Nongban" (Meitei: ꯅꯣꯡꯕꯥꯟ), is a popular villain character who is depicted as the man who always tried many unsuccessful attempts to eliminate Khuman Khamba in the ancient Moirang Kangleirol legends. He is a rich man of Angom clan. Besides having seven wives, he is a suitor of princess Moirang Thoibi, for which, he has a rivalry with Khuman Khamba.
