Joining the UAE Astronaut Programme

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) runs the UAE Astronaut Programme. This program is a big part of the UAE's National Space Programme. It helps the country grow in technology and connect with other nations. The program also supports new ideas and research in the technology field.

Nora was chosen from a huge group of people. Over 4,000 applicants wanted to join the program. She was one of only two astronauts selected in the second group. Rigorous Astronaut Training

Nora went through a lot of tough training. First, she trained at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre. This included swimming, scuba diving, and survival skills. She also worked to improve her physical fitness. After this, she joined NASA's astronaut training in 2021. This took place at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, USA.
