The Nordenskjöld Lake (also called Lago Nordenskjöld in Spanish) is a beautiful lake found in the Torres del Paine National Park. This park is located in the Magallanes Region of southern Chile. The lake is famous for its stunning blue-green water and the amazing wildlife that lives nearby.

The lake got its name from a Swedish explorer named Otto Nordenskiöld. He was the first to discover this lake in the early 1900s.

What Makes Nordenskjöld Lake Special?

One of the most interesting features of Nordenskjöld Lake is its outflow. The water from the lake flows out through a powerful waterfall. This waterfall is known as Salto Grande, which means "Big Jump" in Spanish. It's a very impressive sight to see the water rushing over the rocks.
