Norihiro Nishi (born May 9, 1980) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder and was also a member of the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs
Norihiro Nishi was born in Takatsuki, Japan, on May 9, 1980. After finishing high school, he joined the football club Júbilo Iwata in 1999. He quickly became an important player, playing in many matches during his first season.
Success with Júbilo Iwata
During his time with Júbilo Iwata, the club achieved great success. They won the J1 League championship twice, in 1999 and 2002. They also won the Emperor's Cup in 2003.
In Asia, Júbilo Iwata won the AFC Champions League (then called the Asian Club Championship) in the 1998–99 season. They also reached the finals in 1999–2000 and 2000–01.
Nishi played a key role in the team's victories. He helped them win the J.League Cup in 2010. He played for Júbilo Iwata until 2011.
Later Career
In 2012, Nishi moved to Tokyo Verdy, where he played for two years. After that, he played for Police United in 2014 and Okinawa SV in 2016. He retired from playing football at the end of the 2016 season.
Playing for Japan
Nishi also represented his country, Japan, in football.
Under-23 National Team
In September 2000, Nishi was chosen for the Japan U-23 national team. This team was going to play in the 2000 Summer Olympics. Although he was part of the squad, he did not play in any matches during the tournament.
Senior National Team
Norihiro Nishi made his debut for the Japan national team on April 25, 2004. This match was against Hungary.
In July 2004, he was selected to play for Japan in the 2004 Asian Cup. He played in two matches during this tournament. Japan went on to win the championship, making them the champions of Asia. In total, Nishi played five games for the Japan national team in 2004.
