Norihiro Satsukawa (薩川 了洋, Satsukawa Norihiro, born April 18, 1972) is a Japanese football manager and a former football player. He was born in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. He is currently the head coach of Sakai Trinitas, a club in the Kantō Soccer League Division 2.

Playing Career: A Strong Defender

Norihiro Satsukawa started his football journey in Shizuoka Prefecture. After finishing high school at Shimizu Commercial High School, he joined a professional team called All Nippon Airways in 1991. This team later became known as Yokohama Flügels.

He quickly became an important player for Yokohama Flügels. He mostly played as a center back, which is a player who helps protect the goal. His team won their first big trophy, the 1993 Emperor's Cup, in 1993. They also won their first Asian title, the 1994–95 Asian Cup Winners' Cup, which is a competition for teams from different Asian countries.

Sadly, the Yokohama Flügels team had to close down at the end of the 1998 season because of money problems. In their very last tournament, the 1998 Emperor's Cup, the team won the championship again! Norihiro played in many matches leading up to the final, but he couldn't play in the last game because he was suspended.

In 1999, Norihiro moved to another team called Kashiwa Reysol. Here, he played as a left back alongside famous players like Hong Myung-bo. His new team also had great success, winning the 1999 J.League Cup. They also finished in third place in the top Japanese league, the J1 League, in both 1999 and 2000.

Norihiro continued to be a regular player for Kashiwa Reysol, often playing as a center back. In 2003, he unfortunately broke his right leg, which meant he couldn't play for about 10 months. He returned to the field in August 2004. At the end of the 2005 season, Kashiwa Reysol was moved down to a lower league, the J2 League, and Norihiro decided to retire from playing football.

Coaching Career: Leading Teams to Success

After he stopped playing, Norihiro Satsukawa began a new chapter in his football life: coaching! He started as a coach at his old club, Kashiwa Reysol, in 2007.

In 2008, he moved to a team called AC Nagano Parceiro in the Japanese Regional Leagues. He became their manager in 2010. Under his leadership, the team was promoted to the Japan Football League (JFL) at the end of 2010. They continued to do well, finishing in second place in the JFL in both 2011 and 2012.

In 2013, Norihiro became the manager of another JFL club, FC Ryukyu. This team also saw success under him, as they were promoted to a new league called the J3 League starting in 2014.

He then managed SC Sagamihara in the J3 League in 2016, though he resigned in August of that year. In 2017, he joined Nara Club, a JFL team, and managed them for two seasons before leaving at the end of 2018. In 2019, he moved to Banditonce Kakogawa, another Regional Leagues club. He continues to share his knowledge and experience by coaching different teams.
