Playing for Yokohama Flügels
Satsukawa quickly became an important player for Yokohama Flügels. He mostly played as a center back, which is a defender who helps protect the goal. In 1993, his team won the Emperor's Cup. This was their first big championship! They also won an Asian title, the 1994–95 Asian Cup Winners' Cup, in 1995.
Sadly, the Yokohama Flügels team had to close down in 1998 because of money problems. But before they did, they won the 1998 Emperor's Cup again. Satsukawa played in many games leading up to the final. However, he could not play in the championship game because he was suspended.
Moving to Kashiwa Reysol
In 1999, Satsukawa joined a new team called Kashiwa Reysol. Here, he played as a left back, another defensive position. His team did very well, winning the 1999 J.League Cup. They also finished in third place in the J1 League in both 1999 and 2000.
Later, Satsukawa faced a challenge when he broke his right leg in 2003. This injury kept him from playing for about 10 months. He returned to the field in 2004. Satsukawa retired from playing football at the end of the 2005 season.
