Norma Deloris Egstrom from Jamestown, North Dakota is a music album released in 1972 by the famous singer Peggy Lee. This album was very special because it was her last one with Capitol Records. She had been with this record company for many years, first from 1944 to 1952, and then again starting in 1957.

You might notice that Peggy Lee's stage name isn't on the album cover. Instead, the title uses her real name, Norma Deloris Egstrom. It also mentions Jamestown, North Dakota, which is where she was born.

How the Album Was Made

The songs for this album were recorded in Los Angeles, California. This is where many famous musicians record their music. The recording sessions happened in April 1972.

During these recording times, Peggy Lee also sang a song called "It Changes." This song was written by Robert and Richard Sherman. They wrote it for the 1972 Peanuts movie, Snoopy Come Home. Even though it was recorded, "It Changes" was not on the first album released in 1972. However, it was added later to a special version of the album. This version came out in 2004 in the United Kingdom on a compact disc.

After finishing Norma Deloris Egstrom, Peggy Lee took a break from recording in the studio. She didn't make any new studio songs for two years. Her next recording was in April 1974. It was a song called "Let's Love." This song was written just for her by the legendary Paul McCartney! She recorded it for Atlantic Records.
