Jaiden Anthony Watson (born January 25, 1998), known by his stage name NorthSideBenji, is a Canadian rapper and musician. He is from Brampton, Ontario. Benji became well-known for his song "Levels". This song featured another Toronto rapper named Houdini. "Levels" was released in December 2018. It was the main song from his first music collection, an extended play called Caviar Dreams. That EP came out on January 18, 2019. He later released his second EP, Frienemy, on September 6, 2019.

NorthSideBenji's Music Journey
NorthSideBenji started rapping in 2016. He released many freestyle songs and other tracks. He quickly gained a large online following. He is an independent artist signed to Music 4 Life. He released songs like "Again" in October 2017 and "Confessions" in December 2017.
Early Releases and First EP
On January 6, 2018, he performed a "Fire In The Booth" freestyle session. This was with a famous host named Charlie Sloth. In early 2018, he announced his first EP, Caviar Dreams. It was planned for July 2018 but was released on January 18, 2019. The song "Levels" featuring Houdini was released on January 25, 2019. This song talks about wanting to improve one's life. Erin Lowers from Exclaim! magazine described Caviar Dreams as "calm but exciting." She gave it a high rating. XXL magazine also named him one of the top Toronto rappers to know.
Second EP and Collaborations
NorthSideBenji did another "Fire in the Booth" session on August 26, 2019. This session had support from rapper Nines. This freestyle helped promote his second EP, Frienemy. Frienemy was released on September 6, 2019, and had five songs. The iTunes store described Frienemy as more direct than Caviar Dreams. The music video for the song "Frienemy" came out on September 29, 2019. It was shown on the British music website GRM Daily. NorthSideBenji also worked with Canadian singer-songwriter Neena Rose. They released the song "Secret" in October 2019. He also appeared on the song "Too Soft" with Houdini. This song was part of 6ixbuzz's album NorthernSound, released on December 13, 2019.
Achievements and Chart Success
His popular song "Levels" received a Gold certification from Music Canada on April 7, 2020. This means it sold a lot of copies. He was also featured on two songs, "Don't Change" and "Flex". These songs are on Nines' album Crabs in a Bucket. That album reached number one on the UK Albums Chart.
