A Look at North Georgetown's History
North Georgetown was officially started a long time ago, in 1830. The community got its name from a man named George Stidger. He was one of the first people to own the land where the community was built. A few years later, in 1833, a post office was opened in North Georgetown. This meant people could send and receive mail right in their own community.
