North Ings Farm Museum facts for kids
The North Ings Farm Museum is a cool place in Dorrington, Lincolnshire, between Lincoln and Sleaford. It's a special kind of museum called a farm museum. This means it shows you what farm life was like in the past.
One of the most exciting things at the museum is its working narrow gauge railway. This railway has tracks that are 2 ft (610 mm) wide, which is narrower than regular train tracks. The train runs on a track that is about a quarter of a mile long. The museum first opened its doors to visitors in 1990.
Besides the railway, you can also see lots of old farm machines and tractors. There are also commercial vehicles, old steam pumps, and even a fairground organ! It's a great place to learn about history and how things used to work.
