Who are the Members?
The North Peace Tribal Council has several First Nations as its members. These communities are located in the beautiful region of northwestern Alberta.
Current Members
As of September 2018, four First Nations were part of the North Peace Tribal Council. Each nation has its own unique history and culture. The number of registered members for each nation at that time was:
- Beaver First Nation: 1,126 people
- Dene Tha' First Nation: 3,148 people
- Little Red River Cree Nation: 5,868 people
- Tallcree Tribal Government: 1,376 people
Former Members
The Lubicon Lake Indian Nation was a member of the North Peace Tribal Council for some time. They joined in 1995 but later decided to become part of a different group called the Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council in 2013.
