Northeast St. Louis is a special kind of area in Saint Louis County, Minnesota, United States. It's called an "unorganized territory." This means it doesn't have its own local government, like a city or a town. Instead, the county government takes care of things for the people living there. In the year 2000, about 177 people lived in Northeast St. Louis.

About the Area

Northeast St. Louis covers a very large space. It has a total area of about 540 square miles (which is about 1,399 square kilometers). Imagine an area bigger than many cities! Most of this land, about 460 square miles (1,191 square kilometers), is solid ground. The rest, about 80 square miles (208 square kilometers), is water. This water includes lakes, rivers, and streams that are part of the landscape.

In the year 2000, there were 177 people living in Northeast St. Louis. These people lived in 81 different homes, and 57 of these were families.

Most of the people living here were White (about 95%). A smaller number were Native American (about 3.4%), and some people were from two or more different backgrounds (about 1.7%).
