Northline is a small place in Wisconsin, United States. It's what we call an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or a village. Instead, it's part of a larger area, like the town of Hudson in St. Croix County.
Northline's Past
Did you know Northline wasn't always called Northline? Its first name was North Wisconsin Junction. This name was used until 1906.
A post office was open in North Wisconsin Junction for a few years. It operated from 1878 to 1884.
The name "Northline" was chosen for a simple reason. From this spot, a special branch of the railroad went north. This train line headed towards the northern parts of Wisconsin.
