Noushin Ahmadi is an Iranian writer, translator, and journalist. She is also a dedicated activist who works for women's rights and helps her community. She was one of the people who started the One Million Signatures campaign. This campaign worked to change laws that were unfair to women in Iran.

Noushin Ahmadi also helped create the Women's Cultural Center (Markaz-e Farhangi-ye Zanan). This organization helps women with their health and legal questions. She has written several books about the women's movement in Iran. In 2004, Noushin Ahmadi won the Latifeh Yarshater Award. She received this award for a book she wrote with Parvin Ardalan. The book was about Mehrangiz Manouchehrian, Iran's first female lawyer. It was titled "Senator: the Work of Senator Mehrangiz Manouchehrian in the Struggle for Legal Rights for Women."

Challenges Faced by Activists

In 2007, Noushin Ahmadi and Parvin Ardalan faced difficulties because of their activism. They were given a sentence related to their work. Noushin Ahmadi was later released on September 22, 2010. She had to explain her activities to the court.

She was told that she was being charged for writing and publishing content on the Feminist School website. She was also charged for taking part in gatherings after the 2009 elections. Noushin Ahmadi defended her actions. She was released until her trial date.

Her trial took place on March 11, 2012. On June 9, 2012, she received a sentence that included a period of probation. This meant she had to follow certain rules for five years.
