Iranian women's movement facts for kids
The Iranian women's movement is about Iranian women working together for their women's rights. This movement started after the Persian Constitutional Revolution in Iran. Women formed secret groups and organized protests to demand their rights.
The first wave of this movement lasted from around 1910, when the first women's Journal was published, until 1933. In 1933, the last women's group was closed down by the government of Reza Shah. The women's movement started again after the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
