Nueva Paz (pronounced NWEH-vah PAHS) is a town and a special area called a municipality in Cuba. It is located in the Mayabeque Province. The town of Nueva Paz was started in the year 1802. Later, in 1812, it officially became a municipality.

Nueva Paz is divided into eight smaller areas. These are called consejos populares, which means "people's councils." Think of them like neighborhoods or small districts.
