Nulltown is an unincorporated community located in Columbia Township, which is part of Fayette County, Indiana. An unincorporated community is a place that doesn't have its own local government, but it still has a name and people live there.

History of Nulltown

Nulltown got its name from the Null brothers. They owned a sawmill right where the community is today. A sawmill is a factory where logs are cut into lumber.

The very first post office in Nulltown opened its doors in 1847. This means people could send and receive mail there. Nulltown was also an important stop, called a depot, on the Whitewater Valley Railroad. Railroads were a major way to travel and transport goods back then.

Nulltown Wingnuts Flight Club

The Nulltown Wingnuts is a cool group of pilots. They fly special small airplanes called ultralights. These pilots are based in Nulltown. They often fly their aircraft around the local area, showing them off.

Every September, the Nulltown Wingnuts host a "fly-in." This is an event where pilots from different places fly their planes to Nulltown. It's a chance for them to meet, share their love for flying, and display their amazing aircraft.
