The F5 Tornado of 1996
On July 18, 1996, a very powerful storm called a supercell thunderstorm hit Oakfield. This storm created an F5 tornado, which is the strongest type of tornado. It caused a lot of damage and destroyed much of the town. The tornado eventually ended in the town of Eden. On that day, a total of 12 tornadoes touched down in southeast Wisconsin.
