The Oakley-Lindsay Center (often called the OLC) is a large building in Quincy, Illinois. It is a special place where many big events happen. Think of it as a central spot for meetings, shows, and fun gatherings in the Quincy area. It opened in 1995 and cost $8 million to build. The OLC helps bring people together from Quincy and nearby towns. It fills a gap between bigger cities like St. Louis and Iowa City.
In 2008, the center became a very important place during a big flood. People filled over one million sandbags there to help protect the area. Many news channels showed the OLC and its sandbagging efforts. Even Barack Obama, who was running for president at the time, visited on June 14.
