Lucerito is the fifth music album by the famous Mexican singer and actress Lucerito. It's also known as Ocho Quince, which means Eight Fifteen in English. This album came out in 1988.

The album features two songs that are covers of popular English songs. Vete con Ella is a Spanish version of The Dixie Cups' song Chapel of Love. Tu Amiga Fiel is a cover of Carole King's famous song You've Got a Friend. This album was also special because it was Lucerito's first album released in a digital format.

Album Success

The Lucerito album was a big success! It sold 400,000 copies in total. This earned it a Gold Disc award, which is a special recognition for high sales. About 250,000 copies were sold just in Mexico.

Within five months of its release, several singles became hits. These included "Millones mejor que tú," "No me hablen de él," and "Tu amiga fiel." To help promote the album, Lucerito also made two music videos. These were for the songs "Vete con ella" and "Millones mejor que tú." Both videos were very popular and reached the Top 10 on a TV show called "8O's Stars."

Lucero traveled to many countries to promote her album. These included Costa Rica, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Guatemala, and the U.S.A. The album sold very well in all these places.
