Ocotlán is a city in the Mexican state of Tlaxcala. Its name comes from the Nahuatl word ocotl, which means "pine tree." So, Ocotlán means "place of pines." This city is located right in the middle of Tlaxcala state. It is part of the larger urban area around the state capital, Tlaxcala de Xicohténcatl.
