Ogilvie Raceway is a fun place for car racing in Central Minnesota. It's a special type of track called a dirt clay oval. This means it's shaped like an oval and made of dirt and clay. The track is about 3/8 of a mile long. You can find it near the town of Ogilvie, Minnesota, right next to Highway 23.

From April to October, Ogilvie Raceway hosts weekly races. These races are part of the Wissota Racing Series. Different kinds of race cars compete here. These include Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Modified 4s, Street Stocks, and Hornets. In 2016, an outdoor Go-Kart track was also added for even more racing fun! The track has even hosted big events like the World of Outlaws Late Model Series in 2017 and 2018.

History of Ogilvie Raceway

How the Track Started

Ogilvie Raceway first opened its doors for racing on May 29, 2009. The original owners were Corey Owens and Lucas Ostermann. Just a few months later, on July 13, 2009, they added Mod 4s to the weekly racing schedule. The first racing season at Ogilvie Raceway ended with a special banquet on December 12, 2009.

New Owners and More Racing

In 2015, the Wagamon family bought the race track. They continued to run the track under the WISSOTA sanction. This means the track follows the rules set by the WISSOTA Racing Series. Since 2015, the track has continued to feature exciting races. These include Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks, Street Stocks, Mod Fours, and Hornets.
