Olivia Baker (born June 12, 1996) is a talented American runner. She is known for her speed in middle-distance races, especially the 800 meters. Olivia grew up in South Orange, New Jersey, and went to Columbia High School. Later, she studied at Stanford University.

High School Running Success

Olivia Baker was an amazing athlete at Columbia High School. She never lost a 400-meter race to anyone from New Jersey. She also won 13 state titles during her time there.

Setting New Records

Olivia helped her school team set a state record in the 4x400-meter relay. Their time was 3:40.36. She also ran in a sprint medley relay that achieved the second-fastest time ever for a U.S. high school team.

Winning Multiple Events

In 2013, Olivia made history at the New Jersey Meet of Champions. She was the first person to win four events in the same year. She won the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter races. She also helped her team win the 4x400-meter relay. That same year, she won the 400-meter title at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals. Olivia was named the New Jersey Gatorade Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year twice.

Competing for the USA

While still in high school, Olivia got to represent the United States.

• At the 2013 World U18 Championships, she earned a silver medal in the 400-meter race. She also helped her team win gold in the Medley relay.
• At the 2014 World U20 Championships, she won a bronze medal in the 400-meter race. She was also part of the winning 4x400-meter relay team.

College Running Career

Olivia continued her running career at Stanford University. She was named an All-American 11 times, which is a big honor for college athletes. In 2016, she became the Pac-12 champion in the 400-meter race. She was also named the West Region Track Athlete of the Year in 2016. In 2015, Olivia was part of the winning 4x400-meter team at the Pan Am U20 Championships.

Professional Running Career

Today, Olivia Baker runs for the Atlanta Track Club. She also works there as a coordinator for marketing and membership. In May 2019, she was part of the winning mixed 4x400-meter team at the IAAF World Relays. In 2022, she competed in the 800-meter race at the World Athletics Indoor Championships.
