Olivia Santana facts for kids
Maria Olivia Santana (born 25 March 1967) is a Brazilian activist. She is the founder of the Black Union For Equality (UNEGRO).
She was born in Salvador, Bahia. At the age of 14, she started to work as a cleaner in a private school. She studied at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA).
She was a city councilor in Salvador, Bahia. In 2012, she was a candidate for vice mayor of Salvador. She supported extending childcare.
Since 2019, she has been a member of the Bahia Legislative Assembly for the Communist Party of Brazil.
