The show first started in Canada on CBC Kids on February 18, 2017. A second season came out on February 2, 2019. The company that makes the animation is Keyframe Animation Inc., who also worked on shows like Tee and Mo and Pinky Dinky Doo.

About the Show's History

The animated series Ollie! The Boy Who Became What He Ate is all about a boy named Ollie. He's a bit of a picky eater, but every meal turns into a big adventure because he actually becomes what he eats! The idea for the show came from Sheena Macrae, who was also a main producer for the series. Diana Moore helped write the stories for the show.

In March 2014, CBC Kids, Radical Sheep Productions, and Mickey Rogers Media decided to create this animated series together. Later, in December 2015, a Canadian company called Temple Street Distribution got the rights to share the show. Steve Krecklo, who used to be in the band The Carnations, wrote the music for the show. The series first aired on CBC Kids on February 18, 2017. The second season premiered on February 2, 2019.

In April 2019, the show was nominated for an award from Canada’s Youth Media Alliance (YMA). This award celebrates great TV and digital content for young people.
