Omar Cummings (born 13 July 1982) is a former professional football player from Jamaica. He played as a forward and spent his entire career playing for teams in the United States.

Playing Career Highlights
Early Years and College Soccer
Omar Cummings went to Jonathan Grant High School. After that, he attended Cincinnati State College and the University of Cincinnati. While in college, he studied criminal justice and played soccer for his school teams.
Professional Soccer Journey
Omar Cummings began his professional career when he was chosen by the Colorado Rapids in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft. He quickly became an important player for the team.
In 2010, he scored two goals in a game against Chivas USA, helping his team win 3–0. This great performance earned him the Major League Soccer Player of the Week award. He also reached a big milestone on 30 April 2010, playing his 100th MLS game for the Rapids against Chicago Fire.
After his time with the Colorado Rapids, Cummings moved to the Houston Dynamo in 2012. He played for them for two years.
In 2015, he joined the San Antonio Scorpions in the North American Soccer League. He had a very successful season there, scoring 10 goals in 29 matches.
On 21 January 2016, Omar Cummings signed with a new team, FC Cincinnati, which played in the United Soccer League.
Retirement and New Role
On 23 July 2017, FC Cincinnati announced that Omar Cummings was retiring from playing professional soccer. He played his last game the next day in a friendly match against Valencia CF. During halftime of that game, the club honored him with a special ceremony.
After retiring as a player, Cummings continued to work with FC Cincinnati. He joined the club's front office, where he helps with youth academy programs and community projects.
Playing for Jamaica
Omar Cummings also played for his home country, Jamaica. He made his first international appearance in July 2008. He represented Jamaica in 35 matches and scored 7 goals during his international career.
