Omer Yosef Atzili (born July 27, 1993) is a professional footballer from Israel. He plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for the Israeli Premier League club Beitar Jerusalem.
Atzili also played for the Israeli national team from 2016 to 2022, representing his country in six international matches.

About Omer Atzili
Omer Atzili was born and grew up in Holon, Israel. His family is of Ashkenazi Jewish background, with his mother's side having roots in Romania.
Because of his family history, Omer also has a Romanian passport. This can make it easier for him to play for football clubs in some European countries.
In 2018, he married his girlfriend, Or. They have two children, a son born in 2018 and a daughter born in 2020. The family lives in Jerusalem, Israel.
Omer's Football Journey
Omer Atzili began his football career in 2002 at the youth academy of Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel. In 2010, he moved to another Israeli club, Hapoel Rishon LeZion. He spent three years there, playing for both the youth and senior teams.
Playing for Hapoel Rishon LeZion
Omer made his first professional appearance for Hapoel Rishon LeZion on July 30, 2011. He came into the game as a substitute in a match against Hapoel Be'er Sheva during the Israel Toto Cup.
He scored his first goal in the Israeli Premier League on May 12, 2012. Although his team lost that game and was moved down to a lower league, Omer became a key player for them. He scored six goals in the Liga Leumit (the second-highest league). He even scored two goals in one game (a "brace") on May 10, 2013. Omer also helped his team win the 2012–13 Israel Toto Cup for second-division clubs.
Time with Beitar Jerusalem

On July 30, 2013, Omer Atzili signed a four-year contract with Israeli Premier League club Beitar Jerusalem. He played his first game for them on August 24, 2013. In his first season, he often came on as a substitute.
Omer became a regular starter for Beitar Jerusalem during the 2015–16 season. That year, he scored his personal best of seven goals. He also had the honor of being the captain of Beitar Jerusalem.
Moving to Granada in Spain
On August 31, 2016, Omer Atzili signed a four-year deal with Granada CF, a team in Spain's top league, La Liga. The transfer fee was reported to be around €750,000. He made his debut in La Liga on September 11, starting in a game against SD Eibar.
Omer played 11 matches in total for Granada, including league and cup games. He started five of these matches but did not score any goals. At the end of the 2016–17 season, Granada was moved down to a lower league, and Omer left the club.
Return to Maccabi Tel Aviv
On June 20, 2017, Omer Atzili signed a four-year contract to return to Maccabi Tel Aviv, an Israeli Premier League club.
Playing for APOEL in Cyprus
On August 23, 2020, Omer signed a two-year contract with APOEL, a club in the Cypriot First Division. He was released from his contract on January 5, 2021, after playing for about half a season.
Success with Maccabi Haifa
On January 13, 2021, Omer Atzili signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Maccabi Haifa, another club in the Israeli Premier League.
On August 23, 2022, Omer helped his team qualify for the UEFA Champions League Group Stage. He made a great free kick in the 90th minute that led to an own goal by a rival player, securing a 2–2 draw and a win for Maccabi Haifa overall. On October 11, 2022, Omer scored his first two Champions League goals in a 2–0 win against Juventus. This was Maccabi Haifa's first victory in the competition since the 2002–03 season. He was also named the Player of the Match for this game.
Time with Al Ain in UAE
On June 14, 2023, Omer Atzili signed a three-year deal with Al Ain, a club in the UAE Pro League in the United Arab Emirates. He became the first Israeli Jewish player to play in an Arab country. His yearly salary was estimated to be around $1.9 million.
When he was introduced, he was presented as a Romanian player, using his Romanian passport. Before joining, Omer made sure his contract allowed him to not play or train during important Israeli and Jewish holidays. Also, because of political situations, his contract included a special rule that he would not play in certain away matches for the AFC Asian Champions League outside the Emirates, to ensure his safety and comfort.
Back to Beitar Jerusalem
Omer Atzili returned to his former club, Beitar Jerusalem, in the Israeli Premier League. He signed a new contract with them on December 24, 2024.
Playing for Israel
Omer Atzili represented Israel at different youth levels, including the under-19 and under-21 teams.
He was first called up to the senior Israeli national team on August 31, 2016, for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers match. He made his official debut for the senior team on September 5, 2016, in a game against Italy.
On November 10, 2022, Omer Atzili announced that he was retiring from playing for the Israel national team.
