One Main Place is a tall office building in Downtown Portland, Oregon. It is a private building where many businesses have their offices. This 20-story skyscraper is about 270 feet (82 meters) high. It was finished in 1982. One Main Place is one of the tallest buildings in Portland. It is also one of the largest buildings in the city by its total space.

Building History: How One Main Place Was Built and Owned
One Main Place was designed by a famous architecture company called Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. It was built by the Hoffman Construction Company. The building was completed in 1982.
Over the years, the building has been owned by different companies. In 1995, a company called Equitable Life Assurance Society bought it. Later, in 1998, the pension fund for Los Angeles' police and fire departments became the owner.
In 2006, RREEF Realty Investments, which is part of Deutsche Bank, purchased the building. They sold it in 2010 to KBS REIT II. Then, in 2014, New York Life bought One Main Place.

One Main Place is 20 stories tall. It has a lot of space inside, about 353,000 square feet. This makes it one of the biggest buildings in Portland. The building is designed in a modern style. It is made of concrete and has a special outer wall called a curtain wall.

Many different businesses have their offices in One Main Place. These include law firms and banks like Banner Bank. Other companies, like Yellowpages.com and Tripwire, a software developer, also have offices there. Tripwire and Education Northwest are two of the biggest tenants.

Every year during the winter holidays, One Main Place gets decorated. The decorations have a different theme each year. A fireplace in the lobby is often part of the holiday theme. In 2002, the building won an award for its "Home for the Holidays" theme.
