One PNC Plaza is a very tall office building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It's located in the busy downtown area known as the Golden Triangle. This building was finished in 1972. It stands about 129 meters (424 feet) tall and has 30 floors. One PNC Plaza is home to many offices for PNC Financial Services, a big bank. It used to be the main headquarters for PNC before a newer building, the Tower at PNC Plaza, was built.
Building History
One PNC Plaza was built on a special spot. Before it, there was another important building called the First National Bank Building. That old building was a 26-story tower built in 1906. It had a beautiful design style called Beaux-Arts architecture. The old building was only about 11 meters (36 feet) shorter than the One PNC Plaza building we see today.
