Otter Falls is a cool waterfall located in King County, Washington. You might also hear it called Otter Slide or Otter Creek Falls. This amazing waterfall is found on the southern side of Mount Anderson.

The water here drops a huge 1600 feet (about 488 meters)! But because the mountain slope isn't super steep, you can only see about one-third of the total height from the ground.

Otter Creek is the small stream that feeds these falls. It flows about 1 mile (1.6 km) from Mount Anderson. About half of this journey is spent tumbling down Otter Falls before the creek joins the Taylor River.

The water for Otter Falls comes mostly from melting snow. The ground around the falls is made of granite, which doesn't hold much water. This means that when the snow is all gone, the waterfall often dries up by July.
