Playing for Clubs
Otto Konrad started his professional football journey with a local team called Sturm Graz. He played there for 11 years, showing off his amazing goalkeeping skills.
Success at SV Salzburg
After Sturm Graz, Otto Konrad moved to SV Wüstenrot Salzburg. This was a very successful time for him. In 1994, his team played in the UEFA Cup Final. They played against Inter Milan but unfortunately lost.
During the 1994–95 season, Otto Konrad even scored a goal against Stahl Linz! This was a rare achievement for a goalkeeper. In 1995, he received the Römer Award for his great achievements.
Playing in Spain
In 1997, Otto Konrad joined a Spanish team called Real Zaragoza. He became their main goalkeeper. However, he only stayed for about a year and a half before returning to Austria.
Playing for Austria's National Team
Otto Konrad also played for the Austrian national team. He made his first appearance in May 1989, in a friendly match against Norway.
