Otto George Moore (born August 27, 1946) is a retired American professional basketball player. He was a tall player, standing 6 feet 11 inches (2.11 meters) tall. Otto played as a center in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for nine seasons, from 1968 to 1977.
He played for several teams, including the Detroit Pistons, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Kansas City–Omaha Kings, and New Orleans Jazz. Otto was known for being a strong rebounder. He achieved a "double-double" twice in his career. A double-double means he had double-digit numbers in two different stats, like points and rebounds, in the same game. For example, in the 1969–70 season with the Pistons, he averaged 11.9 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.
Throughout his NBA career, Otto Moore averaged 8.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He was also good at blocking shots. In the 1975–76 season with the Jazz, he ranked eighth in the league for blocks per game, with 1.7 blocks.
Interestingly, Otto Moore played in 682 regular season NBA games. This is the second-highest number of games played by an NBA player without ever appearing in a playoff game. Only Tom Van Arsdale played more regular season games without reaching the playoffs.
