Ouaddaï is a region in Chad. The capital city is Abéché.
The region was the heartland of the former Ouaddai Empire, which existed from the early 16th century until 1911. It was defeated by France in the Ouaddai War.

Since 2008, the region of Ouaddaï is divided into three departments:
