Our Lady and St Peter's Church in Bothamsall is a special old church in Nottinghamshire, England. It's part of the Church of England and is considered a "Grade II listed" building. This means it's an important historical place that needs to be protected. The church is located on the Lound Hall Estate, and the person who owns the estate, called the Lord of the manor, helps pay for its repairs.
History of the Church
This church has a long history, dating back to the 14th century. That's over 600 years ago! In 1817, there was a plan by an architect named William Wilkins to rebuild the church, but this idea was not used.
Instead, the church was rebuilt in 1845. This big project was led by Henry Pelham-Clinton, 4th Duke of Newcastle. He used stone from Worksop Manor to help build the new church.
