Discovering the Church's Past

This church is very old, dating back to the 14th century. That means it was first built in the 1300s! A plan to rebuild the church in 1817 was not used. Instead, the church was rebuilt in 1845. This rebuilding was done by Henry Pelham-Clinton, 4th Duke of Newcastle. He was a very important person at the time. The stone used for the new parts came from Worksop Manor.
