Ovando is a small community in Powell County, Montana, in the United States. It is a "census-designated place" (CDP), which means it's an area defined for counting people. Ovando is about 54 miles northeast of Missoula, Montana. In 2020, 83 people lived there.

The town was named after Ovando Hoyt, who served as the postmaster from 1883 to 1898. Two large wilderness areas, the Bob Marshall and Scapegoat, are located nearby. These areas are protected and offer amazing natural beauty.
