Owusu Benson (born on March 22, 1977) is a retired Ghanaian football player. He was known for playing as a midfielder.
Football Career
Owusu Benson played most of his professional football career in Switzerland. He started playing there in 1995. For about a year and a half, he played for JEF United Ichihara in Japan. He also has a Swiss passport.
Benson played for the SC Kriens club starting in July 2004. He later joined SC Buochs in January 2009.
A Health Scare
On March 31, 2008, Owusu Benson had a serious health scare. He collapsed during a training session. Doctors were able to help him, and he recovered after a few days.
Personal Life
Benson is the father of another football player, Tyron Owusu, who plays for Switzerland.
