Pacific is a small community in El Dorado County, California. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city does. Instead, it's governed by the county.

You can find Pacific about 3.25 miles (5.2 km) east of a town called Pollock Pines. It sits high up in the mountains, at an elevation of 3,396 feet (1,035 meters) above sea level. A major road, U.S. Highway 50, runs right through this area. The special code for mail in Pacific is 95726, and its phone area code is 530.

A Bit of History in Pacific

Pacific has a bit of history with its post office. A post office first opened here in 1880. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. It closed down in 1893 but then reopened in 1894. The post office continued to serve the community until 1958. After that, the mail services were moved to a nearby community called Pacific House.
