Paige Amber Hadley (born 26 August 1992) is a famous Australian netball player. She mainly plays as a wing attack or centre. Paige is a key member of the Australian national team. She also plays for the New South Wales Swifts in the Suncorp Super Netball league.

Early Life and Education

Paige Hadley was born in Sydney, Australia, on August 26, 1992. She started playing netball when she was seven years old. She played for the Penrith District Netball Association as a junior.

While still in high school, Paige achieved excellent academic results. She earned a scholarship to study at Western Sydney University. She managed to get a Bachelor of Business & Commerce degree. She did this while also being a professional netball player.

Netball Career Highlights

Paige Hadley began her netball journey as a replacement player. This was while she was still studying at university. She quickly became well-known in the Australian Netball League. In 2010, she joined the NNSW Blues. The next year, she helped the Netball NSW Waratahs win their first ANL title.

In 2012, Paige received a scholarship from the Australian Institute of Sport. She also made her first appearance for the NSW Swifts. She was called in as a temporary replacement player. That same year, she was chosen for the Australian Under 21 team.

Paige signed with the NSW Swifts for the 2013 ANZ Championship season. She played seven games for the team in 2014. This was as an injury replacement player. She even replaced Madi Robinson at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. In 2013, she had a knee injury after a game against Malawi.

Paige has played for New South Wales in many National Netball Championships. She played in the 17/U, 19/U, and 21/U age groups. She won several titles, including the 2012 21/U National Netball Championship.

Joining the Australian Diamonds

In 2013, Paige was named in the Australian 21/U Team. This was for the 2013 World Youth Netball Championships. After her club season, she was selected for her first Australian Diamonds Squad. She also won the first NSW Swifts Coaches' Award.

Paige made her senior international debut on October 16, 2013. She played for the Australian Netball Diamonds against the Malawi Queens in Wollongong. The Diamonds won the game 83–34. In her second game against Malawi, Paige was named the Most Valuable Player. On October 20, 2013, she was named Australian 21/U Player of the Year. This award was given at the Australian Netball Awards.

Overcoming Injuries

On March 6, 2014, Paige suffered a serious injury. She tore her left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during training. This meant she could not play for the rest of the 2014 season. However, she worked hard and made a successful return in 2015.

In 2015, Paige helped Australia win the 2015 Netball World Cup. This was a huge achievement for her and the team. In 2018, she injured her ankle. This injury prevented her from playing in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Paige lives in St Clair, New South Wales. She enjoys watching TV shows like The Bachelor and One Tree Hill. Her favorite foods include chocolate, pasta, and cakes.
