Pala Casino Spa and Resort is a large hotel and spa located in Pala, California. It is found on the Pala Indian Reservation, which is northeast of San Diego. This resort is owned and operated by the Pala Band of Mission Indians, a Native American tribe recognized by the United States government.
The resort has a big area for games, which is about 86,000 square feet. It also has 2,250 slot machines and 84 table games. There are nine different restaurants where you can eat. For relaxation, there's a large day spa that is 11,000 square feet. The resort also offers four places for entertainment, like shows and music. The hotel has 500 rooms, and 82 of these are special suites.
How Pala Casino Spa and Resort Started
In March 2000, construction began on the Pala Casino project. It cost about $115 million to build. The casino first opened its doors on April 3, 2001.
Later, on August 19, 2003, the full Pala Casino Spa and Resort opened. This bigger project included 500 hotel rooms, a relaxing spa, and a place for meetings and conferences. This part of the project cost around $105 million to finish.
