Palca is a small town located in the La Paz Department of Bolivia. It is an important place because it is the main town, or seat, of the Palca Municipality. This municipality is part of the Pedro Domingo Murillo Province.
Palca sits high up in the mountains, about 3,465 meters (11,368 feet) above sea level. In 2013, about 1,180 people lived there.
