Palestina is a town located in the middle of Caldas, Colombia. It's part of the "Triangle of Coffee Area." This region is famous for its coffee farms and a culture shaped by early settlers from Antioquia.
Because of its special history and coffee traditions, the town's old center and nearby farms were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. This means they are important places that the whole world should protect.
Palestina is also home to the "Aeropuerto Internacional del Café" (International Coffee Airport). This airport helps send coffee and other farm products to other countries. It's close to Manizales, an important city, and serves a large farming area that includes parts of Risaralda, Caldas, Quindio, and northern Valle del Cauca.
The town has many different types of weather zones. This is because its land stretches from the banks of the Cauca River all the way up to the town center, which is high on a mountain.
Climate in Palestina
Palestina has a warm and humid climate. The weather stays quite steady throughout the year, with average temperatures around 22 to 30 degrees Celsius (72 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit). It rains a lot, especially from April to May and from September to November. Even so, there's still plenty of sunshine to enjoy!
