History of the Centre

The Palm Beach Photographic Centre was started by Art and Fatima Nejame. It first opened its doors in Boca Raton, Florida.

In the early 1990s, the Centre moved to a new spot. It relocated to the Pineapple Grove arts district in Delray Beach. Here, it became a top place for learning about digital photography.

What is FotoFusion?

In the 1990s, the Centre created a yearly event called FotoFusion. This is a big photography festival that brings in photographers from all over the world.

Famous photographers, like Gordon Parks, have been part of FotoFusion. This festival also helped bring a lot of money to the city of Delray Beach.

Moving to a New Home

In 2009, the Palm Beach Photographic Centre moved again. It found a new home in the library center in West Palm Beach.

The Centre now has a modern and much larger space. It is bigger than 30,000 square feet (2,800 m2), giving it lots of room for exhibitions and classes.
