Paloma Creek South was first counted as a census designated place in the 2010 U.S. Census. This was the first time it appeared as a separate place for population counting.
Schools and Education
All of Paloma Creek South is part of the Denton Independent School District. Students living here attend different schools depending on where they live.

Some students go to Catherine Bell Elementary School. Others attend Paloma Creek Elementary School.
Middle Schools
Most of the area is zoned for Navo Middle School. A smaller part goes to Rodriguez Middle School.
High School
All high school students from Paloma Creek South attend Braswell High School.

Some homes in the southern part of the community, not in the CDP, are in the Little Elm Independent School District. There is also an active community of families who teach their children at home.
