Surfing and Beaches in Pambula
Pambula Beach has three main surfing spots. Each one offers something a little different for visitors.
Main Beach: A Popular Spot
The first beach is called Main Beach. You can find it right in front of the Pambula Beach Holiday Hub. There is also a surf club nearby. This is the most popular beach in the town. It curves gently around the bay. Eventually, it connects to Main Beach in the nearby town of Merimbula.
Lions Beach: Perfect for Picnics
South of Main Beach, past some coastal rocks, you will find Lions Beach. This beach is a bit more quiet. Behind Lions Beach is Lions Park. This park is a great place for families. It has areas for barbecues and picnics. It is perfect for a relaxing day out.
The River Mouth: A Surfing Challenge
The third beach is about 250 meters long. It ends at the mouth of the Pambula River. This spot is often called "The River Mouth." It used to be a very famous surfing spot. Surfers loved it because of its sand banks. However, today, it does not get as many big waves. The sand banks have also changed. This makes it a bit harder for surfing now.
