Pamela Cortes was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on January 9, 1981. She started learning music and dancing at a very young age. When she was just 7 years old, she began her studies. Her family, including her mother, father, and two brothers, always supported her dreams. They encouraged her to become the amazing artist she is today.

Pamela Cortes has been an artist for most of her life. She took music and dance classes at the Conservatory Antonio Neumane. She also studied at the Danzas Jazz Academy in Guayaquil.

Early Success and TV Shows

In 1992, Pamela won first place in a singing contest called "Los niños cantan a America." This was a big step for her! The next year, in 1993, she was chosen to be "La Paquita Ecuatoriana." This role was like being an assistant for the famous TV host Xuxa. This led Pamela to create and host her very own TV show. It was called El Rincon de los bajitos, which means "The Little Ones' Corner."

In 1994, Pamela released her first music album, named Alegria. This means "Joy" in Spanish. She also took part in "Sabado Gigante," another singing competition. Two years later, in 1996, she released her second album, Mas alla del sol ("Beyond the Sun"). This album made her even more famous. That same year, Pamela acted in a play of Romeo and Juliet in Ecuador. She also helped raise money for children in need by participating in "Teleton de Costa Rica."

Studying Music and New Music

In 1999, Pamela went to Miami to study Music Business. She returned to Ecuador in 2000. That year, she released her third album, Con el alma ("With the Soul"). This album became very popular in Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, and Peru. She also continued acting in plays like Besame Tonto, Mis primas, and El hombre de la mancha.

In 2004, Pamela released her fourth album, Esperare ("I Will Wait"). She has continued to create new music since then. In 2007, she performed the song "Te Amo" ("I Love You") with the famous singer Franco de Vita. This happened during his concert in Coliseo Ruminahui.

Pamela Cortes is still very active in the entertainment world. She works on a TV variety program. She is married to David Harutyunyan, who is a musician and director of the symphonic orchestra of Guayaquil. They have a son named Max.
