Pancracio Chocolates is a special brand that makes delicious, handmade chocolates. It started in 2003 in Cadiz, Spain. Pancracio chocolates and sweets are made in Spain. You can find them in famous stores and fancy food shops all over the world.

How Pancracio Chocolates Started

The idea for Pancracio Chocolates came from Pedro Alvarez's big love for chocolate. The brand is known for its beautiful packaging. This comes from Pedro's background as a graphic designer. He studied design in New York in the 1990s at places like the School of Visual Arts.

Pedro's Inspiration and Training

During his time in New York, coffee shops like Starbucks were becoming very popular. This inspired Pedro to start his own business. He wanted to create something special with sweets and chocolate.

After his design studies, Pedro learned about cooking and pastry making. He went to the International Culinary Center at New York University. Then, he returned to Europe to learn even more about making chocolates. He trained with famous chocolatiers in Barcelona and Vic, Spain. He also studied at Le Cordon Bleu in London.

Creating the Pancracio Brand

Pedro was determined to create his own chocolate brand. He found a skilled artisan chocolatier to help him make the chocolates he had designed. In 2003, the first batch of nougats and chocolates was ready. They were carefully packaged and launched in Cádiz under the name Pancracio.

Soon, Pancracio products were sold in famous stores. These included Colette in Paris and Bergdorf Goodman in New York. You could also find them at Neiman Marcus in the US and Selfridges in London. Some special shops in Spain also sold them. Later, Pancracio opened its own store in Cádiz. The chocolates were also sold online. This helped the brand reach customers all over the world.

Unique Chocolate Products

Pancracio makes many different and interesting chocolate products. They have crunchy chocolates and truffles with a special flavor. You can find dark chocolate with hazelnuts and chocolate-covered almonds. They also make nougats, panettones, and chocolate bars. Some unique items include chocolate sardines and chocolate corn. They also offer spreadable creams and chocolate for fondue. The company even makes teas, jams, and a chocolate vodka. You can find their recipes in the books "Modern Chocolate" (2008) and "Postmodern Chocolate" (2016).

The Look of Pancracio

Every Pancracio product has its own special look. They come in a simple white box with a clean design. A cotton ribbon and the product name complete the package.
